This collectable antique Georgian 1796 pattern officers spadroon is in reasonable condition. It still has some of the original gilt finish remaining. Part of tang hilt is damaged on the left hand side. It clearly has been used in action as there are nicks on the blade. The blade is engraved with numerous markings including an infantry soldier, crown, regimental markings, feathers and swirls. The sword makers name is engraved on the top edge close to the hilt (this is displayed on the bottom image).
